Key areas of support include individual giving, institutional giving, events, prospect research and operations. This role coordinates events and mailings, and ensures the smooth, efficient operation of fundraising processes and systems that strengthen donor and partner engagement.

JOB SUMMARY

This role coordinates events and mailings, and ensures the smooth, efficient operation of fundraising processes and systems that strengthen donor and partner engagement.
RESPONSIBILITES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administrative
- Provide administrative support for the development department, including the Vice President of Development, major gifts, institutional giving, events, annual giving and development operations
- Supports calendar management and donor meeting preparation for the Vice President, including arranging logistics and ensuring all necessary materials are prepared in advance
- Schedule meetings and coordinate communications and meeting minutes/summaries for the Development Committee of the Board
- Manage inventory of development print materials and event supplies as needed
- Coordinate comprehensive event planning efforts, including small and midsize donor gatherings and meetings, as well as large-scale events, such as the premier annual fundraiser(s) and cultivation events, in close partnership with the team
- Distribute targeted event-related email communications
- Foster a responsive donor service environment by promptly addressing inquiries and liaising with the development team to provide information to donors, board members and volunteers, as needed
- Utilize Donor Management System to help maintain donor data with precision, and work closely with the database specialist to track, manage and report out on event registration data, as needed
- Timely review and dispatch of gift and pledge acknowledgements to donors and partners, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a swift and personalized communication standard
- Support the CEO, Vice President, and Development Team with donor research and prospect list updates through the utilization of screening tools
- Work closely with the Database Specialist and Finance Team to serve as an alternate on producing the Daily Gift Report, as needed
- Maintain an ethical approach to fundraising, including high levels of discretion when necessary
Education
- High School Degree or equivalent, required
- Undergraduate Degree, preferred
- Two – Four years of relevant experience, preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Experience with Donor Management Databases, preferred
- Experience with Digital Email Communication Platforms, preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
